Lx 2000 Stage Lighting Hire has been providing professional lighting, stage effects and related services in Ireland for over thirty years. 

Our services range from the supply or sale of a full range of stage lighting equipment, the installation and maintenance of permanent and temporary theatrical lighting rigs and architectural lighting, to the full lighting design, programming and operation of your show.

We also provide specialist electrical services including power distribution for outdoor events, equipment and the provision of custom power, audio and control cables.

Lx 2000 can provide you with equipment for a show or event of any size and we can accommodate for any budget. 

LX 2000 is owned and run by Seamus Reck and is based in Wexford town.

Seamus first gained his interest in stage lighting in the 70s while working as a volunteer stagehand in the Theatre Royal in Wexford (now the Wexford Opera House) while training to become an electrician. 

Soon after Seamus and Frank Reck (brother and fellow Theatre Royal Volunteer) went into partnership and started their own hire company “Reck LX”. For almost thirty years Reck LX was one of the biggest providers in stage lighting equipment in the south east of Ireland and in that time they developed strong ties with many drama groups, musical societies and theatre production companies such as the Bridge Drama Group and the Wexford Festival Opera.

The company was re-named in the year 2000 and since then Seamus has continued to expand it. Lx 2000 now holds one of the largest lighting hire stocks in Ireland and continues to provide its services throughout the country.
